[My attempt at making mittens before the end of Winter]

Did you know that I considered adding an Irish studies minor while I was an undergrad?  It’s true, but sadly didn’t happen (although the trip to Ireland would’ve been amazing!).  St. Patrick’s day is this weekend and I for one am excited.  I’ve been looking at some fun ideas of food I can make to celebrate – going back and checking out some dessert ideas, like those St. Patrick’s Cake pops, and pinning away (both on my “Eat” and “Spring Things” boards).  Ultimately, I think Joe and I are going to do a little bit of celebrating with my family (we’re part Irish) on Saturday and on Sunday have a full breakfast, drink some tea, and possibly check out a parade.  Perfect if you ask me.

PS – With Google Reader ending, I’ve made a transition to HootSuite but you can also Follow my blog with Bloglovin :)

  1. Those preserves look delicious! Tell me more about Hootsource! Is it a reader?

It’s sort of like a social media managing site so with just one log in, you can see everything. For example, you create different tabs for what you need – I have Twitter, my RSS feeds, Instagram, and wordpress.org. It’s not perfect but it make things very convenient!

I love that brand of preserves :)
And I’m so pissed at Google right now. I should start looking at Hootsuite and BlogLovin. Have a nice weekend!

  3. Love the clovers! I’m ready for things to start turning green again!

I got my first ball of thread and hook during my freshman year of college but I picked up crocheting again last Winter. No real formal training, just lots of searching for different types of stitches (Lion Brand Yarn has a great tutorial section). For the mittens, I think I used a double stitch.

I love the mitten! what stitch is it?

  6. Happy St. Patty’s Day! I hope you finish those mittens ASAP, lol.
